Full Ingredient List

Organic Lapsang Souchong, Organic Nettle Leaf, Organic Jasmine Flower, Organic Kukicha Twig Tea, Organic Cedar Tips.

Key Ingredients

  • Organic Lapsang Souchong (Camellia sinensis) — A fully oxidized black tea from Fujian Province, China, traditionally smoke-dried over pinewood fires. One of the most distinctive teas in the Chinese tea tradition, valued for its bold, smoky aromatic character.
  • Organic Kukicha Twig Tea (Camellia sinensis) — A Japanese tea made from the stems and twigs of the Camellia sinensis plant rather than the leaves, with a mild, slightly sweet, and nutty flavor profile. Lower in caffeine than leaf teas.
  • Organic Nettle Leaf (Urtica dioica / Xun Ma) — A botanical with a long history of use in traditional European and Chinese herbal preparations, known as Xun Ma in TCM tradition. Rich in minerals and widely used in herbal tea formulations.
  • Organic Jasmine Flower (Jasminum officinale / Mo Li Hua) — A flowering botanical with a long history of use in traditional Chinese tea culture, known as Mo Li Hua. Jasmine is one of the most widely used floral aromatics in Chinese tea blending tradition.
  • Organic Cedar Tips (Thuja spp.) — Young cedar branch tips used in artisanal tea blending for their resinous, forest aromatic character, evoking the Pacific Northwest wilderness.

TCM Element Alignment

  • Wood Element — Cedar Tips, Lapsang Souchong, Kukicha: In traditional Chinese medicine, the Wood element governs the Liver system and the smooth upward flow of Qi. Resinous, forest-character botanicals and smoky, earthy teas with an upward-moving aromatic quality align with Wood’s association with Qi movement, renewal, and the Liver system.
  • Fire Element — Jasmine Flower (Mo Li Hua): The Fire element governs the Heart system. Jasmine (Mo Li Hua) is associated with the Heart and Liver systems in TCM tradition, carrying a warm, uplifting floral aromatic character.
  • Metal Element — Nettle Leaf (Xun Ma): The Metal element governs the Lung system and the body’s outermost boundary. Nettle Leaf’s mineral-rich, clarifying character aligns with Metal’s association with refinement and the skin barrier.
