Key Ingredients

  • Organic Spearmint (Mentha spicata) — A cooling aromatic herb widely used in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern herbal traditions. Spearmint has been used in women’s wellness preparations for centuries and is one of the most studied herbs in the context of hormonal botanical research.
  • Organic Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) — One of the most widely used botanicals in traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, and Western herbalism. Known in TCM as Gan Cao, it is considered a harmonizing herb that moderates the actions of other herbs in a formula.
  • Organic Chasteberry / Vitex (Vitex agnus-castus) — A Mediterranean shrub with a long history of use in European women’s herbal traditions dating back to ancient Greece. Vitex is one of the most widely used botanicals in Western women’s herbalism.
  • Organic Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis) — Known in TCM as Dang Gui, this is one of the most important herbs in the Chinese materia medica for women’s wellness, used for over 2,000 years as a blood-nourishing and qi-moving tonic.
  • Organic Red Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus) — A traditional European and North American herb with a long history of use in women’s wellness preparations, particularly in Western folk herbalism.
  • Organic Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamomum verum) — A warming spice with thousands of years of use in Ayurvedic, Chinese, and Western herbal traditions, widely included in warming and circulatory botanical formulas.
  • Organic Nettle Leaf (Urtica dioica) — A deeply nutritive herb rich in minerals, widely used in European and Western herbal traditions as a nourishing tonic.
  • Organic Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) — A calming aromatic herb in the mint family with a long history of use in European herbal traditions for its gentle, soothing character.
  • Organic Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale) — A foundational warming spice with thousands of years of use in Ayurvedic, Chinese, and Western herbal traditions.
  • Organic Lady’s Mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) — A traditional European herb with a long history of use in women’s wellness preparations in Western folk herbalism.

TCM Element Alignment

  • Wood Element — Dong Quai (Dang Gui), Licorice Root (Gan Cao), Spearmint: In traditional Chinese medicine, the Wood element governs the liver system and the smooth flow of qi and blood. Dong Quai is one of TCM’s premier blood-nourishing and qi-moving herbs, directly associated with the liver’s role in nourishing and regulating the blood. Licorice Root as a harmonizing herb and Spearmint’s cooling, moving character both align with Wood’s association with flow, renewal, and the liver system.
  • Water Element — Vitex (Chasteberry), Red Raspberry Leaf, Nettle: The Water element governs the kidney-adrenal system and the body’s deepest reserves of essence (Jing). In TCM, the kidney system governs reproductive vitality and hormonal rhythms. Botanicals with long histories in women’s reproductive wellness traditions align with Water’s restorative, deeply nourishing character.
  • Earth Element — Cinnamon Bark, Ginger Root, Alfalfa Leaf: The Earth element governs the spleen-stomach system and the body’s digestive and nourishing center. Warming, grounding spices and nutritive herbs align with Earth’s centering, sustaining qualities.
  • Metal Element — Lemon Balm, Lady’s Mantle: The Metal element governs the lung system and the body’s capacity for clarity and boundary. Calming, aromatic herbs that support the nervous system’s settling character align with Metal’s association with refinement and the body’s protective, clarifying functions.
